H. M. Trading was founded in 2010 by Lars Heuseler, the founder and current CEO of Forestone Japan Ltd. His previous experience in the music sector in Japan made him realize how interesting it could be to boost exchanges between Japan, a country with a real music tradition, and foreign companies of the music field. The idea was therefore to create a company able to:
play the role of a go-between between international manufacturers of instruments and accessories for wind instruments, and Japanese customers
help Japanese brands of accessories for woodwind instruments entering foreign markets.
This intermediary company is H. M. Trading.
H.M. Trading is based in Osaka, the biggest city within the Kansai area and second most important agglomeration in Japan, with easy access to other major cities including Kyoto, Nara and Kobe among others. Since the 5th century, the area has been the epicenter of economic growth in southern Japan. The city is still a major economic hub today. H.M. Trading has been taking advantage of this dynamism to provide the best services to international companies interested in developing in Japan, to Japanese companies looking for foreign markets, as well as to Japanese musicians looking forward to discover foreign products.
The quality of H. M. Trading services rests on the commitment of an international team always keeping an eye on the latest evolutions of the music market in Japan and worlwide.
H. M. Trading is now partnering with 28 companies from 10 different countries.
